“Change is never easy, particularly when it involves changing the way we think about how to understand beliefs, and how we express our beliefs out in society,” explains Dr. Davis. “But if we want to be able to effectively communicate and interact with others in our increasingly pluralistic culture, we can no longer be satisfied clinging to the traditions and methods that were effective in the past.”
