St. Jude Medical settles with Justice Department, will pay $27 million

The U.S. Department of Justice said Friday that St. Jude Medical, once one of Minnesota's biggest med-tech businesses before its acquisition in 2017 by Abbott Labs, has agreed to pay $27 million to settle claims that it sold defective heart devices.
