Al Jarreau's Friends Launch Kickstarter Campaign For Tribute Album
CHICAGO - May 29, 2018 - PRLog -- The Al Jarreau Tribute Album Kickstarter campaign "We're In This Love Together - A Tribute To Al Jarreau," has entered its final week. Fans, colleagues and family have come together to bring a little "Al" to the public later this year.
The campaign, spearheaded by Jarreau's long-time bassist and protege, Chris Walker, will feature Jarreau long-time band members including Larry Williams, Joe Turano, John Calderon and Mark Simmons.
Joining the group will be Grammy-nominated jazz saxophonist, Dave Koz, Nathan East, Bobby Lyle, Greg Phillinganes and Gil Goldstein, among others.

Over 300 fans recently weighed in on an online poll suggesting several song favorites including: Mornin', We Got By, Spain, Take Five and the album's title song, We're In This Love Together.
Jarreau's team as well as family members are 100 percent behind the project, which is being funded independently to allow the artists complete creative control over the project.
Ryan Jarreau, Al's son stated, "I really appreciate Chris (and the band) doing this project to honor my father because they're like family to me."

Scheduled for release in December, the album will be complemented by a tour beginning in 2019.
