Principle Logistics Group Awarded Woman-Owned Business Recertification

FORT WORTH, Texas - February 28, 2018 - (Newswire.com)

Principle Logistics Group (PLG), where Sheila Jackson serves as CEO, has just received recertification status as a woman-owned business by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC), the largest certifier of women-owned businesses in the U.S. and a leading advocate for women business owners and entrepreneurs.

Jackson, who has been involved for more than 20 years in business development, management, ownership and consulting, has specialized in transportation logistics and management services since 2005 when she became CEO of Principle Transport Group, a Fort Worth-based, strategic planning and transportation logistics and management company. This year, the company has undergone a facelift, including a new name — Principle Logistics Group — emphasizing its vast range of logistics technology and services.

“Principle Logistics Group became certified as a Woman Business Enterprise (WBE) by the Women’s Business Council – Southwest over two years ago and has been an active member ever since,” said Debbie Hurst, the organization’s regional president. “They are a strong and reliable WBE in the logistics and transportation management space. CEO Sheila Jackson has not only utilized our network of WBEs, corporations and governmental entities to market her business but also has contributed her time and insight to our organization’s programming.”

One of the major benefits of the certification program is that the certification is accepted by more than 1,000 corporations representing America's most prestigious brands, in addition to many states, cities and other entities seeking to meet their goals of supporting women-owned businesses and meeting federal/state diversity mandates. This gives certification owners the ability to compete for real-time business opportunities provided by WBENC corporate members and government agencies.

In addition to the certification benefits of WBENC, whose mission is “to fuel economic growth globally by identifying, certifying and facilitating the development of women-owned businesses,” WBENC offers the education, events, support and tools certified companies need to grow and succeed through the full life cycle of entrepreneurship.

PLG’s industry-leading role of bringing best-in-services to their partners and clients, like their continued WBENC certification and leadership within it, is helping them better serve both small and large companies nationally, like Sabre, AT&T and Encap.
