Hefner to Take Playboy Private

August magazine publisher Hugh Hefner said Monday he would purchase and take private the media company he founded, Playboy Enterprises Inc. (PLA) for $6.15 a share. The purchase price for Playboy represents a 18.3% premium to the company’s Friday closing price. – MW
