As the CEO of GO2 Delivery, I’m reaching out to share our commitment to sustainability and why it’s so crucial for us as a courier service. Recent studies, including those by Joeri Rogelj at Imperial College London and others in the field, have highlighted a pressing issue: the need to hit net zero carbon emissions by 2034 to avoid breaching the critical 1.5°C limit in global warming.
The Urgency of Reducing Carbon Emissions
The data is clear. To keep global warming below 1.5°C, we can emit only around another 220 gigatonnes of CO₂. Unfortunately, with current emission rates, we’re on track to exceed this limit by 2029 or earlier. This fact isn’t just a warning; it’s a call to action for every industry, including ours.

In the courier and delivery sector, we are uniquely positioned to make a significant impact. Our fleets are constantly on the move, and traditionally, this means a substantial carbon footprint.
