Lower Manhattan Vegan Bistro & Wine Bar, Plant-Based Pairing Menu Expanded

Popular vegan bistro and wine bar Delice & Sarrasin (212-243-7200) on 178 West Houston Street in Lower Manhattan is pleased to be expanding their selection of boutique French vegan wines.

Delice & Sarrasin has become well-known as a leader in upscale vegan dining with a French twist and now the popular Lower Manhattan bistro is serving their diners a more extensive selection of French vegan reds, rosés, whites and sparkling wines, including authentic champagne from the Champagne region of France.

The head chef at Delice & Sarrasin, Yvette Caron, is pleased to be bringing her diners some of France’s most acclaimed 100% vegan wines. Unlike most standard wines, all the high-quality bottles on offer at the vegan bistro are completely free from egg whites and other animal-derived products like gelatin that are typically used during the production process.

At Delice & Sarrasin, wine aficionados can now enjoy timeless French wines from historic local growers in some of the country’s most internationally famous regions like Champagne, Bordeaux and Provence. They can also enjoy classic French blends like Châteauneuf-du-Pape, a blend of Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvedre that is produced only in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, a small village in the Rhône wine region in southeastern France.

To bring their diners a complete tasting experience, Delice & Sarrasin also has a new pairing menu, and can recommend small plates, savory buckwheat galettes, appetizers, mains, desserts and sweet crepes, to suit their growing selection of vegan wines.

In particular, dishes like their Plateau de Fromage Végétal, which features a changing repertoire of artisanal in-house French-inspired cultured cashew cheeses, are ideal for those diners who want to center their dining experience around wine.

Delice & Sarrasin is open for lunch and dinner 7 days a week. As their intimate dining room fills quickly, reservations are recommended, especially for Friday nights and weekends.

One recent reviewer, Yesenia Ramdass, the Chef and Owner at HAAM—who told Resy magazine that Delice & Sarrasin is the restaurant she most loves to dine in—said, “One place that never fails to delight is Delice & Sarassin. They serve the best French cuisine in New York City - and it’s vegan! My favorite dish is the Poulet Basquaise, alongside the most exquisite crepes I’ve ever tasted.”
