Geist, IN Ethical Polyamory Resources & Inclusive Therapy Services Announced

Geist, IN - Soaring Heart Center - an organization that provides compassionate therapeutic services prioritizing diversity, equity, and accessibility, announced that its virtual Ethical Polyamory Conference is now available to join.

Described as a first-of-its-kind, the Soaring Heart Center’s recently announced conference aims to guide people who are open to non-monogamous dynamics to cultivate consensual, fulfilling relationships that nurture emotional wellness.

Through a series of interviews with leading polyam authors, educators, counselors, coaches, and activists, the new event, called The Practices and Principles of Ethical Polyamory, begins with a Preparation Station. This phase supports participants in becoming mindfully aware of their emotional experiences, identifying their desires, and gaining confidence in asking for what they need.

Following this, The Soaring Heart Center’s conference helps attendees unpack problematic relationship patterns and explore cultural messages and hidden biases to promote self-awareness. Lastly, with the central theme of consent, it addresses relationship-style compatibility, and relating to and caring for oneself and others. The program offers insights from 20 notable speakers including Poly Philia - an award-winning content creator and sex-positive advocate, and authors Sarah Taub, PhD, and Dr. Zelaika Hepworth Clarke Carnegie.

Soaring Heart Center says that its Ethical Polyamory Conference is suitable for people anywhere on the relationship style spectrum, including those who have had previously unsuccessful experiences with polyamory. It is available to watch in video format with lifetime streaming access, and a collector’s edition with audio files, a Reflections e-book, and additional interviews is available.

Alongside this event, the Soaring Heart Center offers virtual and in-person 1:1 and group therapy sessions with a team of psychotherapists and coaches. Its services are based on the most current knowledge integrated with lived experience, and incorporate the use of spiritual practices. In line with its commitment to mental health accessibility, the center accepts Anthem BCBS and Medicare insurance plans.

Led by Kathy Slaughter, LCSW, Soaring Heart Center provides support for individuals who are questioning their sexuality, gender, or sexual orientation (including kink, trans, queer, and CNM). The team also offers specialized services for people affected by trauma, substance abuse, and mood disorders.

“We are here to help meet the complex needs of the thoughtful, passionate communities in which we live, work, and deeply love,” said a spokesperson for the center. “Our counselors, coaches, educators, and staff proudly represent many intersections of our community and honor their magnificent expressions.”
