Delice & Sarrasin (212-243-7200), a high-end gourmet restaurant well-known in the Soho food scene for its French vegan cuisine, has a new healthy dinner menu.

—
With the updated menu, the restaurant’s head chef, Yvette Caron, is pleased to be taking the sumptuous tastes and textures of traditional French cuisine and translating it into strictly plant-based dishes that use vitamin and mineral-rich raw wild foods, local organically farmed produce and a rich variety of ingredients. Delice & Sarrasin believes that food which is healthy can also taste good, and this ethos has been the inspiration for their selection of new dishes.

Delice & Sarrasin is also pleased to be greeting the winter with their new seasonal menu. Having just put up their Christmas tree in their iconic French bistro-style white wooden front window, Ms. Caron is also embracing the rich and hearty flavors of the holiday season.
Their updated menu features savory and wintery classics like Boeuf Bourguignon, which features the restaurant's in-house artisan-crafted vegan beef, Parisian red wine, carrots and fingerling potatoes. Another warming, nutritious dish is their ‘Escalope de Poulet aux Epinards a la Creme’ which has a breaded mushroom root cutlet as its centerpiece and is served with healthy truffled cashew cheese and farm-to-table spinach.

As the days continue to shorten and the temperature plunges, Delice & Sarrasin welcomes patrons into their cozy bistro, where they pride themselves on plating up gourmet, inventive and healthy cuisine that stays true to head chef Yvette Caron’s roots in the Provence region of Southern France.
As a recent write-up of the restaurant on Thrillist described, “Traditional French cuisine relies heavily on animal products, making Delice & Sarrasin such an important player in the city’s culinary scene. The entirely vegan restaurant serves all sorts of dishes out of a charming Christopher Street space that could very well pass for a Parisian cafe. They’ve mastered brunch—crepes, waffles, French toast, salads—but their vegan renditions of steak tartare, escargot, scallops, coq au vin, and the like give animal-averse eaters a rare chance to truly experience French cooking.”
The restaurant is open for brunch, lunch and dinner seven days a week. Bookings are recommended, especially for the busy holiday season.
