Although dentures are not new, having been commonly used since the early 1700s, these new advances in dental technology can help patients fully restore their smile, bite, and speech, from just a single visit. The Anacapa Dental Art Institute has combined several advanced technologies into a new procedure that allows patients to walk in with their original teeth, and leave with a new set of implanted dentures.
One of the most significant changes to the new procedure is the ability to install a fully functioning and stable denture implant on as little as 4 posts. Implanted dentures have been commonly available for years, but often require between 6 and 10 implanted posts for maximum stability.
With the All-on-4 procedure, the Anacapa Dental team uses a computer-guided implant process to provide maximum strength with the minimum amount of surgery. In most situations patients will receive only 4 implanted posts, however, in rare cases where more may be needed, the surgical team will install as many as required, at no additional cost.
When patients leave at the end of their appointment, they will have a fully functional and natural-looking set of dentures, with a warranty of up to 10 years on the denture itself, and 5 years for their implants. However, clients who have requested some form of sedation should be advised they will be required to plan in advance for a ride home.
