Appoints Dan Collins and Ben Cohn as Principal and Vice President, bolstering infrastructure capabilities
Hodes Weill & Associates (“Hodes Weill”), a leading global capital advisory firm focused on real estate, infrastructure, and other real assets, today announced that Dan Collins and Ben Cohn have joined the firm’s distribution team as Principal and Vice President, respectively. Both bring extensive experience in institutional capital raising and strategic transactions, further strengthening the firm’s capabilities across its core practice areas, including infrastructure. They are based in New York, and report to Michael Lisa, Managing Director, who was promoted to Head of Distribution – North America after 12 years with the firm.
“Real assets, and infrastructure in particular, are among the most dynamic and rapidly evolving sectors in the global investment landscape,” said Lisa. “These asset classes continue to attract significant capital flows on a global basis, reflecting institutional investors’ strong desire to incorporate them into their portfolios. The addition of Dan and Ben underscores Hodes Weill’s commitment to further strengthening our distribution capabilities. Their expertise enhances our ability to provide managers with best-in-class counsel, helping them differentiate their platforms and achieve their capital raising objectives.”
As Principal, Collins will be responsible for maintaining coverage of North America-based institutions, including pension funds, insurance companies, endowments and foundations. In addition, he will assist in business origination, including infrastructure mandates. He brings more than a decade of experience in investment banking, asset management, and private capital advisory. His prior roles include Principal at Greenhill & Co., Managing Director at PNC, and Vice President at Barclays Investment Bank.
As Vice President, Cohn will maintain coverage of North America-based institutional investors and consultants across key markets. He previously worked in the Private Markets Group at Schroders Greencoat, focusing on capital raising and investor relations for the firm’s infrastructure platform. Earlier in his career, Cohn held business development and product strategy roles at JPMorgan Private Bank and Brown Advisory and began his career as a consultant at KPMG.
