Los Angeles Chargers and Students Run LA Honored on 50-yard line of SoFi Stadium

The Luskin Orthopaedic Institute for Children (LuskinOIC) Stand For Kids Gala, on Saturday, June 8, 2024 will benefit LuskinOIC’s mission of advancing health equity for every child in Los Angeles and beyond. This year’s theme, “Sports Medicine: Heal Champions, Fuel Athletes” will raise funds to help children, while honoring the donors, dedicated community partners, patients, and pediatric specialists of the LuskinOIC community.

LuskinOIC has been instrumental in enhancing sports medicine, particularly in pediatric orthopaedics, through innovative treatments and dedicated research. More than 85% of LuskinOIC patients are underinsured, and LuskinOIC relies on the enduring support of donors and dedicated sponsors to help provide high-quality care for children with musculoskeletal injuries and conditions, and advances patient-centered care worldwide.

The Los Angeles Chargers will receive the Community Inspiration Award and Students Run LA will receive the Power of Partnership Award on the 50-yard line of SoFi Stadium. Two-time Emmy-winning television host, Mario Lopez, will host the annual gala and WORLD CLASSIC ROCKERS, former members of Journey, Santana, Steppenwolf, and Lynyrd Skynyrd will perform to more than 600 guests that support LuskinOIC’s long history of keeping our children healthy and active!

In alliance with UCLA Health, LuskinOIC stands as the largest provider of pediatric orthopaedic care on the West Coast, receives more than 60,000 patient visits each year, and offers pro-bono treatment to patients in Calexico and Mexicali, among other cities worldwide.

Guests can expect to hear THE MOST consequential announcement in the organization’s history, experience the LA Chargers, Thunderbolt Drumline and hear remarks from Congressmember Sydney Kamlager Dove (CD 37) and Los Angeles City Councilmember Curren D. Price Jr. (CD 9). The gala will include a star-studded, rock-and-roll halftime show by the ultimate classic rock, All-Star band, WORLD CLASSIC ROCKERS, featuring AYNSLEY DUNBAR, former member of Journey; GREG WALKER, former member of Santana; MICHAEL MONARCH, former member of Steppenwolf; NICK ST. NICHOLAS, former member of Steppenwolf; and RANDALL HALL, former member of Lynyrd Skynyrd performing an incredible night of hit-after-hit rock and roll classics such as: Don’t Stop Believin,’ Born To Be Wild, Black Magic Woman, Free Bird, Sweet Home Alabama, Oye Como Va, and much more!
