Orion Unveils New Standalone Trading to Empower Advisors with Greater Flexibility

Wealthtech innovator adds flexible standalone solutions and Foundation Stack, enabling advisors to choose their own adventure

As the first steps toward increasing flexibility for advisors, Orion began offering its Risk and Compliance Supervision offerings as standalone solutions earlier this year. Later this summer, Orion is adding Trading to its standalone roster to provide advisors an integrated trading and rebalancing solution they can access and leverage alongside their current platform and technology. The standalone Orion Trading solution encompasses a sophisticated portfolio rebalancing engine and an order and execution management system, while offering direct custodian feeds, data reconciliation, and access to the Communities Investment Portal, Due Diligence Hub and Custom Indexing.

By offering Trading as a standalone solution, Orion eliminates many of the challenges large Wealth Advisory firms and RIAs can face when attempting to comprehensively transition everything to a new platform solution; this flexible approach enables firms to seamlessly integrate new technology and processes as their needs evolve and at their own pace.

New Foundation Stack is a Starter Kit for Smaller RIAs

Orion is the most integrated and top-rated most-in-one solution. Since its introduction last year, Orion Stacks has proven popular, with nearly 20% of Orion’s technology clients opting into this enhanced and streamlined wealthtech experience. To further expand this offering, Orion is introducing the Foundation Stack, primarily aimed at smaller RIA firms and those new to the RIA space. This new solution comes with a notable discount on any Redtail Plan, a client portal and mobile app, Orion Planning, Orion’s Alternative Investment Platform, portfolio accounting, billing, and full reporting functionality.

Similar to Orion Essentials and Orion Advantage Stacks, advisors utilizing the Foundation Stack also gain access to Custom Indexing, Orion OCIO, Outsourced Trade Desk and professional services including alternative maintenance. This foundational technology serves as the cornerstone for building and expanding a successful practice, providing firms the flexibility to expand their technology stack as needed.
