The new flagship AHF Healthcare Center is relocating from its current location nearby at the Professional Towers on the campus of the Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center about two miles away.

“AHF’s presence in the community continues to grow as we are honored to open this new, state-of-the-art AHF Healthcare Center in Hollywood,” said Michael Weinstein, President of AHF. “We firmly believe the convenience offered by our all-in-one model, with a clinic, an AHF Pharmacy and other services all housed under one roof, can help shift the trajectory of the local HIV epidemic for the better here in Los Angeles and our other similar sites across the country.”

“AHF is proud to be able to continue delivering quality care and medical services to our existing Hollywood health care center clients at this new site as well as expand our reach to even more patients in need with this convenient new location on Hollywood Boulevard,” said Carl Millner, M.D., AHF’s Western Regional Medical Director. “Our all-in-one model helps eliminate barriers for all those in need of care—be it those already in care, those who may not know their HIV status, as well as those previously identified as HIV-positive, but for whatever reason may not currently be in care.”

“Our new flagship AHF Hollywood Healthcare Center takes the place of AHF’s very first treatment clinic, which opened thirty years ago on the campus of what is now Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center at a time—in 1991—when lifesaving antiretroviral medications to combat and treat HIV were not even around yet,” said Dr. William Arroyo, Chair of AHF’s Board of Directors. “Today, thanks to advances in treatment, people with HIV can live long and healthy lives. And if they adhere to their medication regimens and manage their infections carefully, they should not need the services a hospital provides. These developments allow AHF to place this facility directly in the community, in its easily accessible new location on Hollywood Boulevard. And in testament to AHF’s remarkable growth, this facility is now but one of 84 AHF clinics across the United States with an additional 757 clinics in 44 countries spanning the globe!”

“All of our AHF Pharmacy sites are full-service pharmacies filling pharmacy needs of all types of patients and clients that are staffed with pharmacists and pharmacy techs who also have particular expertise in HIV medications and their role in the successful management and care of those living with HIV as well as about PrEP, for prevention for HIV-negative individuals,” said Scott Carruthers, Senior Manager and Chief Pharmacy Officer for AHF. “Our one-stop, all-in-one approach is an added convenience intended to streamline services and improve health outcomes by increasing adherence to lifesaving antiretroviral treatments. We are excited to formally dedicate this new AHF Pharmacy site in Hollywood.”
