Mr. Mendoza worked in project management roles for the Department of Design and Construction for the City of New York and at V&V Bravo in Peru. These positions provided him with experience across construction management, consulting and education. Academic Foundation at Prestigious Institutions
Mr. Mendoza has pursued an extensive academic path to strengthen his career. He earned a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from the Universidad Católica de Santa María in 2014. Later, he completed a master's degree in civil engineering at New York University in 2018, where he focused on construction management.
Two years later, Mr. Mendoza earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Additionally, he completed additional programs at Harvard Business School, the New York Academy of Sciences, Universidad ESAN and Universidad Pacifico.
To complement his education, Mr. Mendoza holds several industry certifications. These include an engineering-in-training from the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying, a Planning and Scheduling Professional credential from AACE International and a Project Management Professional credential from the Project Management Institute.
A Defining Moment Under Pressure
One of Mr. Mendoza's most notable achievements occurred early in his consulting career during a project in Japan. The assignment required him to coordinate with a law firm in Spain while based in the United States. It was his first client-facing responsibility and demanded quick problem-solving. The project's success became a defining career milestone that helped him gain confidence in managing pressure and delivering results.
Mr. Mendoza credits his success to his family's influence. His father emphasized the value of education and encouraged him to analyze challenges thoroughly. Meanwhile, his mother provided key emotional support. He still seeks his father's advice on professional matters and his mother's guidance on personal decisions.
Future Focus on Career Advancement
Beyond his career, Mr. Mendoza remains active in a variety of industry organizations. These include the Project Management Institute, the ALPFA Foundation and the Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering International.
