A phased array antenna is an advanced antenna system that enables electronic beam scanning (without mechanical rotation) by controlling the phase differences of signals transmitted/received by multiple radiating elements. Its core structure consists of a large number of small antenna elements (such as microstrip patches or waveguide slots), each connected to an independent phase shifter and T/R module.
