Prolific artist Matthew Gwyer sells out of his painting series

Matthew Gwyer, an up-and-coming artist from Maine, has sold out of his Liquify Painting Series on his official website, and has had the privilege of sharing his work in art galleries across North America.

Gwyer has agreed to share the practices that have led to him gaining traction in the art world as well as becoming a successful artist in his own right.

Gwyer first started experimenting with art with wax based colored pencils. Seeing how colors blended together inspired him to draw for hours at a time.

Now with years of experience under his belt, however young enough to still be novel to the art scene, Gwyer has taken to international platforms to share his tips and tricks for aspiring artists.

Many states have recognized the importance of artists as well as the crucial role arts and culture play in the economic growth of communities. Gwyer has been a proprietor of sharing this information with the world, as well as the personal benefits art has on the creator and the consumer.

Gwyer is a prolific artist, as he’s tirelessly working on improving his craft and exploring new styles. Other works created by Gwyer include the following titles: Abstract Series Installment, Bumble Bee and Lilacs, Picasso Pencil Portrait, Still Life with Art Studio Pieces, Washed Up Debris and more.

Gwyer has been showcased in Beaverbrook Art Gallery in Fredericton, New Brunswick, and has gone on to share his work in exhibits across the state of Maine.

When we asked Matthew what’s next for him, he said he hopes to continue painting and creating custom artwork for people’s homes. He enjoys projects that require customization and attention to detail. When you’re creating art for a customer’s home, you need to take into account the space, colors, decor and purpose of the room.

Seeing his customer’s faces light up provides Matthew Gwyer with a sense of fulfillment as each custom piece of art can take hours, days, months or even years to create.

The price of Gwyer’s artwork also ranges from a couple hundred to several thousand dollars depending on the request, time and detail required to complete the work.

In the meantime, Gywer continues building on his knowledge by studying the greats that came before him and continuing to experiment with blending colors. Colors are a big part of Gwyer’s style, and he enjoys using them to convey thoughts and emotions.

He describes his Abstract Series First Installment as a new experiment. “It’s for me to paint how I feel rather than what I see or conceptualize.” He goes on to say that it would make a great piece of wall art for a vibrant room setting.

Gwyer has been told that this particular abstract painting looks like an ear with strands of hairs laying down in front of it.

As the prolific artist Matthew Gwyer continues to sell his artwork, he’s also doing his best to sell a message: art helps people – it brings them out of the dark and into the light, and it helps them connect with their communities. It drives creativity, the economy, and people.

Artists like Gwyer are keeping art alive and sharing their passion with their communities.
