Item 8.01 Other Events.
At a hearing regarding DealerTrack, Inc., a subsidiary of DealerTrack Holdings, Inc. (the
“Company”), patent infringement litigation against RouteOne LLC and Finance Express LLC, held in
the United States District Court for the Central District of California, Judge Andrew Guilford set
a new trial date of February 24, 2009. The trial had been scheduled to commence in October 2008.
This postponement does not change the Company’s projected litigation expenses of $7 million for
2008. This projection is based on a fee arrangement that has been negotiated with outside legal
counsel.
