Item 5.02 Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.

 

As of March 4, 2008, the employment of Mr. Juan Becerra, Vice President of Market and Business Development of MTI MicroFuel Cells Inc., a majority-owned subsidiary of Mechanical Technology Incorporated (the “Company”) was terminated in accordance with the terms of his employment agreement, dated November 19, 2004. Pursuant to his employment agreement, Mr. Becerra will receive his base salary and continued coverage under the Company's health insurance plans for three months, on the same terms as during his employment.
