Blockbuster movies, sports events drive return to profitability for Marcus Corp.

With a large slate of blockbuster films and a return of large-scale, live sporting events from the Milwaukee Bucks NBA Championship run to the 43rd annual Ryder Cup in Whistling Straits, Milwaukee-based Marcus Corp. reported its first quarter of profitability since the pandemic shuttered the business, closing hotels and theaters in March of 2020.
