About Tammam Obeid, MD

Specializing in minimally invasive treatments for vascular disease, Dr. Obeid treats conditions throughout the body, from critical limb ischemia to varicose veins to mesenteric ischemia. He utilizes highly specialized techniques including angioplasty, stenting, and laser atherectomy. His full spectrum of treatments helps save limbs from amputation as well as give relief from chronic pain and swelling.

Dr. Obeid graduated from Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland – Bahrain, then attended University of Texas Medical Branch for a combined Vascular Surgery Residency and Fellowship. Following his post-doctoral fellowship at John Hopkins, Dr. Obeid returned to Texas to join Precision Vascular’s top rated practice. Dr. Obeid is board eligible in vascular surgery and is a candidate for the Society of Vascular Surgery. He is a member of the Vascular and Endovascular Surgery Society. He has also been published and cited in numerous publications and presentations.

People close to Dr. Obeid describe him as a caretaker with a creative mind. He greatly enjoys helping patients see immediate and drastic results from treatments. Dr. Obeid cares about the outcomes of his patients and goes the extra mile to achieve patient satisfaction. “Being able to make problems go away with a simple same day procedure is a very satisfying experience.”

Dr. Obeid sets realistic expectations and treatment goals with patients from day one, then explains all treatment options. Having performed over 1,000 vascular surgery procedures, Dr. Obeid is not afraid to push the envelope or try something new. He looks forward to helping patients return to normal activities and live their best lives. His artistic side enjoys the aesthetics of restoring the physical appearance of legs.

In his free time, Dr. Obeid loves outdoor activities, traveling and cooking, especially Mediterranean recipes. When relaxing, he enjoys charcoal sketching and playing the guitar. Chess is another favorite hobby. Dr. Obeid is an advocate for chess and follows American and international chess players. He is currently accepting new patients and looks forward to helping them on their journey to an improved life.
