Ammeraal Beltech’s uni Brand – Expanding in the U.S.

Ammeraal Beltech, a member of the Ammega Group, announced plans to expand their US Modular manufacturing operations in Reading, PA. This announcement is particularly exciting because it follows last month’s news of the companies plan for a new multi-phased greenfield conveyor belt production plant in Buford, GA. “This announcement further supports our growth strategy and our ambition to be closer to the markets we serve offering reduced supply chain lead times and outstanding service to our OEM and distributor partners,” according to Steve Facetti, Vice President of Marketing, Ammega.

Currently, Ammeraal Beltech manufactures its uni brand of Plastic Modular Belts and Chain in Reading, PA. “Market demand is requiring increased manufacturing capacity to support our customer base in North and South America,” according to Alex Ludvigsen, Business Unit Director – Modular.

The uni project will be a multi-phased investment that is already underway. Production startup at the new greenfield location is set for the Fall of 2022.

“This is another strategic move allowing Ammeraal Beltech to deliver a best-in-class customer experience serving all sales channels. With increased capacity, we will be able to build a more efficient supply chain structure offering a faster response, better cost balance and shorter lead times,” according to Niels van den Boogert, Vice President and General Manager of Ammeraal Beltech US operations.

Ammeraal Beltech’s uni products are used across a wide array of industries including food, automotive and corrugated to name a few.

This is the second major investment announced in the last few months by Ammega, the parent organization of Ammeraal Beltech. In May of this year, Ammeraal Beltech announced the creation of a new synthetic belt manufacturing plant in Buford, GA – manufacturing there is set to begin this Fall.

Ammega is also the parent organization of Megadyne and Jason Industrial. Ammega was formed in 2018 when the Partners Group and co-investors acquired Ammeraal Beltech, Megadyne and Jason Industrial.

Ammeraal Beltech, Megadyne and Jason Industrial are all leaders in their respective areas of conveying, power transmission and fluid power, bringing innovative products and solutions and customer solutions to distributor and OEM customers.
