The Avamere Family of Companies (AFC) is forming a People & Culture Council focused on diversity, equity, inclusion, and employee engagement.
The council was first announced in December 2019 and an intensified focus is placed on the council following CEO Rick Miller’s announcement to employees about diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Dale Fruehauf, Chief People Officer for AFC, serves as the executive sponsor of the council with Lisa Marie May, Senior Director of Talent Acquisition for AFC, as chair. The council will work closely with Zanele Mutepfa Rhone, AFC’s new diversity, equity, and inclusion consultant.

The People & Culture Council will be made of a cross-functional team mainly comprised of senior leaders. In the future, Fruehauf plans to expand the council with additional teams to drive corporate social responsibility initiatives, including diversity, equity, and inclusion and a focus on how Avamere can improve society and the environment by giving to and volunteering for important causes.
