EDOBIO Offers New Skincare Protection Sets That Include Free Face Mask to Help Stop Spread of Coronavirus

TOKYO - April 30, 2020 - (Newswire.com)

EDOBIO takes skincare seriously. Since its launch in 2018, it has introduced consumers worldwide to all-natural Japanese skincare and skin repair traditions with an infusion of modern-day biotech. Now the company is going one step further by including a KN95 face mask to its new skin protection kits, at no added cost, to help in the fight to stop the spread of COVID-19. The new products are available only in its online marketplace at edobio.com until its stores in Tokyo and Osaka, Japan and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia are able to reopen post-quarantine.

“The skin is not only the first line of defense for the body against toxins and pathogens, it is an active immune organ. As such, it must be treated with the care it deserves,” explained Kenichi Arakawa, CEO, EDOBIO. “Including a mask as part of our new kits is an extension of our brand promise to clients to exceed their expectations when it comes to skincare and protection.”

The box sets come in a basic full protect kit and an advanced full protection kit. The basic set includes its masu soap, ukiyoe soap gift set, tie 2 serum, ukiyoe serum sachets and a ukiyoe soap dish set. The advanced set included all of the pieces of the basic set, plus matsu soap and both pink and blue ukiyoe soap gift sets. A free KN95 mask comes with either set. The KN95, which comes from China and meets standard requirements, has approximately a 94 percent filtration efficiency and protects against non-oil airborne particles, according to the FDA.

EDOBIO sells a variety of all-natural, chemical-free skincare, skin protection and skin repair soaps, including those that treat acne, using a proprietary soil-based probiotic called BiProGE®︎, derived from plants of Japanese origin. Its proprietary BiProGE lactic acid is a combination of yeast and lactic acid bacteria, plus minerals that are shown to improve the look and health of skin. According to the EDOBIO science and product development team, lactic acid bacteria - which is found in nature - distinguishes its products because it is comprised of thousands of bacterium with varying properties and functions. And because mixed cultivation has shown to have a higher immunostimulatory effect than single lactic acid bacteria, BiProGE lactic acid bacteria was created by separating two types of lactic acid bacterium and two types of yeast to help power the activation of immune cells at a higher level than other lactic acid bacteria.

All of EDOBIO’s soaps also contain olive fruit oil and honey. It’s moisturizing souffle soaps have added Japanese traditional Sakura extract (Somei Yoshino) and natural astringent green tea leaf and seeds, to exfoliate dry flaky skin, minimize inflammation and replenish lost moisture for increased elasticity and firmness through antioxidants.

“We would be remiss if we didn’t reiterate the importance of regular handwashing to stay healthy and reduce the likelihood of you or your loved ones getting sick. Our soaps are effective for that and won’t dry out your skin,” added Arakawa.
