Avamere Welcomes a Chief Medical Officer

The Avamere Family of Companies, a collection of senior healthcare service organizations, welcomed Elizabeth Burns, MD, Chief Medical Officer, on April 13, 2020. 

This is a new position for the company as part of its Quality Priority, a focus on increasing quality care and quality patient and resident experiences.

Burns will oversee medical operations across the entire family of companies, including Avamere Living, Infinity Rehab, Ovation by Avamere, and Signature Healthcare at Home.

Burns joins The Avamere Family of Companies with over 20 years of hospital-based clinical care and health plan leadership. She earned her medical degree from the University of New Mexico School of Medicine and is board-certified in internal medicine. 

Burns is an active member in her community, serving on the board for ASD Oregon, Bustin Barriers, and Jim’s World ALS Association. She also shared her expertise as part of Avamere’s Advisory Board.
