February 26, 2020 – Regional locks are a major game spoiler when it comes to Android and iOS Apps. It means users are deprived of the trending apps in countries outside their own. The new app store, MOVAstore, is setting the score right with its neutral and truly global app store.
The rapidly growing MOVAstore currently has 7,000 apps and counts trending apps such as Mystery Present, Yora Mobile Arcade, Call Of Duty: Mobile, PUBG Mobile, Worms Zone.io, Fortnite among them. Users can see apps available to other regions that were previously locked from them.

A step ahead of the usual app stores, MOVAstore curates thousands of apps by niches, sizes and backward compatible versions. All apps are pre-scanned and checked to ensure security from malicious codes.
“Our mission is to be the world’s first Truly Global App Store. There are 2 problems to be solved.
Firstly, mobile phones in the emerging markets generally have lower bandwidth and storage space, making them unable to download and use resource-intensive games and apps.
Secondly, users in a specific country, say Philippines, are being restricted from seeing what apps are available to Korean users.
This creates a bigger digital divide.
With MOVAstore, we aim to solve this problem by curating lite and backwards compatible versions of apps with no global restriction. This relieves the problem of geography and low bandwidth phones, and hopefully we can advance mankind in this manner,” says Chairman of MOVAstore, Leon Lim.
The global app store is gamified and lets users redeem Premium apps for free. In the upcoming months, MOVAstore is also developing an app-influencer platform that allows influencers to curate apps according to their liking and share with their fans.
MOVAstore does not see itself as a head-on competitor with the other app stores, but as an alternative that is free from geographical restrictions. It aims to become the Number 1 Play Store alternative and is on a mission to provide millions of users with the Truly Global App Store.
MOVAstore has raised a seed round from MRC Ventures, a venture builder company based in Singapore, and started their journey in 2019.
