The Partnership continues between Balsamic Vinegar of Modena and The Institute of Culinary Education (ICE)

The promotional campaign in the USA adds another educational feature

New York City, Feb 14, 2020 (Issuewire.com) - The Consortium for the Protection of Balsamic Vinegar of Modena and the world-renowned Institute of Culinary Education (ICE) continue to collaborate with initiatives for the campaign "Balsamic Vinegar of Modena, the Original", developed for the United States and co-financed by the European Union.

The Institute of Culinary Education (ICE) is one of the largest and most diverse culinary schools in the world that shapes the future generations of chefs, with locations in New York City and Los Angeles. In partnership with the Institute of Culinary Education, the Consortium is able to educate their students regarding the authentic Balsamic Vinegar of Modena and the importance of the European trademark protection.

The Consortium organized a Demonstration Day on November 1st at the Institute of Culinary Education of New York. Federico Desimoni, Director of the Consortium, taught the students about the history and characteristics of Balsamic Vinegar of Modena, how to recognize the authentic product and the value of the European trademark protection. The event continued with a cocktail demonstration by mixologist Thyago Nunes and Chef Devin Stinson, who presented the versatility of the Black Gold of Modena: Duck breast with Balsamic reduction Ricotta, Prosciutto and Fig Balsamic Jam Toast.

The second annual Balsamic Vinegar of Modena Culinary Competition also took place this year, where three students of ICE won scholarships and the possibility to discover the land of Balsamic Vinegar of Modena for the creation of unique recipes incorporating Balsamic Vinegar of Modena. The three winners flew to Modena at the end of November and experienced tours to the "Acetaie", where they participated first-hand in the production of Balsamic Vinegar of Modena. The students experienced the local cuisine, learned how to cook traditional and innovative recipes with the Black Gold of Modena and enjoyed a tour of the charming city of Modena.

The partnership between the Consortium and the Institute of Culinary Education (ICE) also continues online, https://www.ice.edu/partner-with-ice/balsamic-vinegar-modena,  where one can discover all of the up-to-date news, the latest recipes created by ICE chefs showcasing inventive dishes, inspiring content and applications with Balsamic Vinegar of Modena. There is also a special selection of creative video recipes with Balsamic Vinegar of Modena, an exclusive product that ICE chefs have incorporating into research and recipe development.  Furthermore, here you can find a video on "How to Buy Balsamic Vinegar" in which the chefs share what to look for when buying the authentic Balsamic Vinegar of Modena including tips on identifying the age, aroma, color and label.

The campaign "Balsamic Vinegar of Modena, the Original", developed for the United States and co-financed by the European Union aims to increase the consumer consciousness about the original PGI (Protected Geographic Indication) Aceto Balsamico di Modena and to promote it in terms of authenticity, safety and traceability.
