This transformer provides protection against critical equipment failures by isolating the power source from the connected device. This unit is rated for use in Class I, Division 2 hazardous locations.
The MT-HAL-1P-460V-5KVA-230V.EU-N3R-CU hazardous location isolation transformer has a 5 kVA rating and is a single-phase unit with a primary voltage of European 230V single-phase. This transformer is rated for use in Class I, Division 2, Groups A, B, C, and D; and Class I, Zone 2, Group IIC, T3 hazardous locations. This transformer takes 460V and converts it to 230V single-phase. This unit’s cores are made with non-aging, cold-rolled silicon steel laminations and can be wall or floor mounted.
Larson Electronics’ isolation transformer features 180˚C insulation with a 115˚C temperature rise and is rated IP24. Precision cut copper transformer winding material is used to improve performance and closer tolerances are used during manufacturing to eliminate burrs that can hinder performance. Each core is specially coated to prevent moisture and is electrically balanced to minimize axial forces during short circuit events. Suitable applications include power supplies for computers, medical devices, and more.
