Stenograph, LLC, the leader in technology development for court reporting and captioning professionals, today announced a new scholarship opportunity for Project Steno students: Stenograph’s Robert T. Wright Memorial Scholarship. Stenograph, LLC will award a merit-based, two-year scholarship to a student selected in partnership with Project Steno. The scholarship grant, worth up to $5,000 per year, includes the use of a student writer and software (payments will be made directly to the student’s school/program to cover all costs for two years).
“We are proud to announce this scholarship and partnership with Project Steno,” said Anir Dutta, president of Stenograph LLC. “The work they are doing is admirable, and we’re excited to provide this opportunity to a deserving student.”
“The board of Project Steno would like to thank Stenograph for their generosity and leadership," said Nancy Varallo, Executive Director. "We depend on support from each stakeholder in our community to boost the numbers of graduates entering the profession. We know we have a partner in Stenograph supporting our goals."
All students accepted into Project Steno’s tuition assistance program between Aug. 1, 2019, and Jan. 31, 2020, are eligible. The scholarship will be awarded to the winner of an essay contest (up to 500 words) addressing the role of technology in court reporting and captioning of the future. The winning entry will be announced during Court Reporting and Captioning Week, Feb. 8-15, 2020.
