SeamlessDocs Announces WCAG 2.1 Compliance, Enabling Web Accessibility in Government

SeamlessDocs enables governments to build online services in compliance with the most up-to-date web accessibility guidelines.

NEW YORK, NY, October 25, 2018 /24-7PressRelease/ -- SeamlessDocs announced today that its web forms now meet WCAG 2.1 guidelines, the most up-to-date recommendations for making web content more accessible. Leveraging best practices in accessible design, SeamlessDocs is offering its clients a new Live View interface for their web forms, which is Section 508 & ADA compliant, and can be fully accessed via screen reader due to automatic label fields, the ability to add tags to images, and proper contrast ratios.

Later this month, SeamlessDocs will launch SeamlessTalk, an accessible chat assistant bot. This voice- and text-enabled web plugin can be embedded into government websites and the WCAG 2.1 compliant Service Center, allowing citizens to seamlessly interact with their government. These product launches mark the culmination of SeamlessDocs' Accessibility Month, dedicated to making government services more accessible for individuals with disabilities.

SeamlessDocs' conformance to the latest web accessibility guidelines comes at a time when governments are seeing a spike in web-related ADA lawsuits. Since 2011, at least 142 local governments in the US have been sued due to website accessibility issues, with fines reaching $150,000. Through its suite of accessible solutions, SeamlessDocs equips governments to prevent these outcomes and better serve its staff and constituents.

"Accessibility has always been at the heart of SeamlessDocs' mission to Make Government Beautiful," comments Jonathon Ende, CEO and co-founder of SeamlessDocs. "By empowering governments to deliver WCAG 2.1 compliant online services, we are ensuring that Government is Beautiful for everyone, and that no staff member or citizen gets left behind."
