Virginia Office of State Inspector General’s Auditor Professional Connect Goes Live

The Virginia Office of the State Inspector General (OSIG) announces the launch of a new, user-friendly application for internal file storage and internal blog hosting, crafted and launched by Virginia Interactive (VI). The Auditor Professional Connect (APC) is a two-sided solution that meets the internal needs of OSIG with a cost-effective, user-friendly interface.

OSIG was previously utilizing a SharePoint-based solution for internal file storage and blog hosting, but was experiencing low adoption rates due to what they believe was a costly, inadequate interface. The new APC interface is designed with the user experience in mind, and aims to be accessible and responsive to the end user.

A folder-based file storage system within APC has a clean and simple look, providing intuitive access of uploaded documents. The solution’s refined blog-hosting capability allows users to post information pertaining to OSIG, and allows for comments and the ability to pin threads to the top of the page. When a new file is uploaded or a new blog post added, users receive an email notification outlining the new file or post.

"Our VI partnership has advanced OSIG’s ability to provide a platform for audit professionals to pose questions, share ideas and discuss emerging issues through its new Auditor Professional Connect (APC) portal,” said State Inspector General Michael C. Westfall. “As a next step to OSIG’s 2016 award-winning auditor training portal, this innovative application enhancement is yet another way to increase collaboration, efficiency and effectiveness in state and local government."

Auditor Professional Connect is currently live.
