Physicians’ Education Resource® Presents 16th Annual School of Breast Oncology®

Physicians’ Education Resource® (PER®), the leading resource for oncology and hematology continuing medical education, will host the 16th Annual School of Breast Oncology®, a curriculum-based program for oncologists who focus exclusively on breast cancer clinical management, from Nov. 1-3 at the Emory Conference Center Hotel in Atlanta, Georgia.

The program will be chaired by Joyce O’Shaughnessy, M.D., Celebrating Women Chair in Breast Cancer Research, Texas Oncology-Baylor Charles A. Sammons Cancer Center, and co-chair, breast cancer research program, The US Oncology Network.

“During SOBO I will be focusing on the optimal ER+ patients for cytotoxic therapy in the curative setting and optimal cytotoxic regimens for various ER+ Patient subsets, new data from SOFT/TEXT trials and how to apply them to optimize the outcome of premenopausal patients, and the evolving clinical utility of NGS in the management of metastatic breast cancer patients,” said, Joyce O’Shaughnessy, M.D.

Designed for medical, surgical and radiation oncologists, the 16th Annual School of Breast Oncology® is a three-day intensive, interactive educational program that will provide attendees with a comprehensive review of data on the most important aspects of breast cancer biology, diagnostics, prevention and treatment, with lectures emphasizing clinical implications presented by leading clinical investigators. Attendees will also be able to earn up to 27.0 ABIM MOC points, along with 1.5 ABR SAM credits and 27.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.
