PSCM Energy and Global Advanced Technologies, LLC., Enter into Strategic Partnership for Deployment of Revolutionary Oil Desulfurization Systems

PSCM Energy, a clean energy company based in Cedar Park, Texas, and Global Advanced Technologies, LLC, (GAT) are proud to announce they have entered into a Strategic Partnership to deploy oil processing facilities globally to convert bunker fuel to IMO-2020-compliant marine-grade fuel.

The companies are positioned to implement a new desulfurization technology which has been developed over the past 15 years and promises to revolutionize the oil refining industry. The deployment of this technology has been strategically scheduled well ahead of the looming deadline of a sulfur cap on marine fuels imposed by the International Maritime Organization (IMO), which will go into effect on January 1st, 2020.

This groundbreaking solution offers approximately 1/10th of the capital costs, and 1/3rd of the operating costs of those of HDS hydrogen-based methods. Furthermore, this method is the lowest-cost option for meeting the new IMO-2020 marine fuel sulfur content limits, which have been lowered from the current limit of 3.5% to 0.5% globally, and to 0.1% in the EU and the USA.

Commenting on the recent partnership with GAT, Mr. Kenneth Templeton, PSCM Energy, CEO, stated that “We are poised to deploy this revolutionary technology around the world in 2019, so stay tuned for specific major announcements in the new future.”

For example, the partnership is in negotiations to construct two 8,000 barrels per day (bpd) or 1,000 ton per day facilities in Europe and the United States. The facilities will be funded by trading and bunkering companies in those markets. The partnership is also finalizing a much larger deal to supply IMO-2020-compliant marine-grade fuel in the Asian market beginning in June of 2019.  Additionally, the partnership is in the early stages of making an agreement to apply the technology in up to 9 international ports in the Americas.

A team of seasoned professionals from PSCM Energy and GAT experienced in technology development, construction, project management, supply chain management and operations will facilitate rapid movement from design, to construction, to operation of the first marine-grade oil production facility utilizing this new technology. Construction of the first site is set to be started in the State of Texas within the next 60 calendar days.
