Guanajuato, Mexico - October 17, 2018 - Otis Felton, writer, speaker, and diversity management consultant, recently announced the second edition of his book, “Receiving the Promises of God: For He will never leave you nor forsake you.”
“Receiving the Promises of God” is an account of a protracted 10-year battle in life after Felton received a “promise from God” in February 1999 to restore everything he had lost.
However, at the time of this promise, Felton had only lost his job. By January 2008, all he owned had practically vanished, and he was close to being evicted from his apartment. His book describes all the events leading to his ordeal and trials. Felton never abandoned his hope in the Lord’s promise and continued to trust in God’s assurance. As a result, the miracle of his testimony is how in one year from January 2008 the Lord restored everything he had lost.
The book is a motivating story of God’s Love as well as the importance of faith and perseverance. He credits family member and friends for inspiring him to write his original book. This second edition includes a section entitled “Questions to Ponder” after every chapter. Felton believes it will help readers relate his testimony to their life story. Felton's family raised him as a Christian, and his father was a minister of a Baptist Church.
Felton tells readers to give God credit for all successes in life. A person must not lose hope. He encourages his readers that it is essential to maintain faith in the Lord regardless of their circumstances or situations. People must truly have faith in God for Him to honor His promises.

About Otis Felton
Felton was in the banking industry for 15 years before retiring as a Vice President. He retired from federal service after 20 years with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) where he held several senior level management positions, and eight years as a Federal Background Investigator with a Top Secret/SCI Clearance. Felton is also a Vietnam War veteran (US Army). He is a Bronze Star recipient as well as a recipient of several other military medals.
Felton holds an MBA degree from National University in San Diego, California. He earned an Effective Executive Leadership Certification from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. Otis and his wife Carmaleta were very active in the Dallas non-profit community before retiring to San Miguel de Allende in Guanajuato, Mexico. In 2017, Felton and his wife co-chaired the Pat and Emmitt Smith Celebrity Invitational and Gala as well as the Leukemia Man & Woman of the Year Gala. He plans to continue his writing in Mexico. His next book will be entitled, “The Reality of Diversity.”
Felton's speaking career has included engagements in many venues including private corporations, national conferences, non-profits associations, and churches. In addition to writing his books, he also works with organizations on managing diversity in the workplace.
