Multi-Project Agreement to Develop Third Party Opportunities Through Collaboration and Exchange of Scientific, Technical and Educational Expertise and Resources - Inaugural Project is 40 in 2021, A Blueprint to Digitally Transform Republic of Liberia Through Dramatic Expansion of Internet Connectivity

ATLANTA, GA / ACCESSWIRE / October 16, 2018 / Imcon International Inc., the developer of the Internet Backpack, a remote connectivity solution that allows users to be able to communicate from almost every location on the planet, has entered into a five year multi-project strategic alliance with the School of Information Studies (iSchool) at Syracuse University. Under the terms of the agreement, the parties will collaborate and exchange scientific, technical and educational expertise and resources as they jointly seek out and develop third party opportunities. The announcement was made today by Rob Loud, CEO, Imcon International, Inc. and Elizabeth D. Liddy, Dean of the iSchool.

The inaugural project is with the Republic of Liberia. The goal of this project, titled 40 in 2021, is designed to digitally transform Liberia by increasing the nation's internet penetration rate to 40% from its current low rate of about 7% by 2021.

Imcon International will provide Internet Backpacks and edgeware to the Republic of Liberia for education, healthcare, rural community and government use. The program will broaden the reach of education networks in the nation and deploy and maintain an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system. Imcon previously announced the establishment of the non-profit Imcon Liberia Foundation, which will drive the goals of 40 in 2021. Syracuse University will lead research, education, cyberphysical network design, and implementation for the Liberia project.
