Envision Financial Systems Named Recipient of 2018 NICSA NOVA Award

FundKeeper wins "Innovation in Distribution" category

COSTA MESA, CA, September 11, 2018 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Envision Financial Systems, Inc., a leading provider of real-time mutual fund shareholder recordkeeping and trading technology, has been selected as a 2018 NICSA NOVA award winner in the 'Innovation in Distribution' category for its FundKeeper product. The award will be presented to Envision at the NICSA General Membership Meeting on October 11, 2018.

The NICSA NOVA Awards recognize outstanding service, creativity, leadership and operational excellence within the asset management industry. The NICSA NOVA Awards are presented to both firms and individuals who strive to serve the asset management industry, contribute to the asset management industry thought leadership, evolve business and operational best practices and improve the overall client experience for those that the NICSA members serve.

The NOVA Award for Innovation in Distribution recognizes notable achievements to improve and enhance the strategy, distribution and servicing of asset management products as a result of transformational changes in organizational dynamics and/or the utilization of technology solutions, business intelligence and data analytics. This award recognizes firms or individuals that have made groundbreaking changes which have resulted in transformation to distribution strategies for asset management products and the optimization of their distribution partnerships. The award considers achievements in providing value-added services to clients as part of their distribution strategy.

A longstanding provider of shareholder subaccounting, transfer agency, 529 and compliance technology solutions, Envision recently expanded its offerings to independent broker dealers and other financial intermediaries with the launch of FundKeeper.

According to the 2018 ICI Investment Company Fact Book, 79% of households that owned mutual funds outside of employer-sponsored retirement plans purchased them with the help of an investment professional.(1) Regulation and customer support trends are requiring intermediaries to consolidate their customers on a common platform or walk away from certain accounts altogether. Witnessing this and similar scenarios inspired Envision Financial Systems and U.S. Bancorp Fund Services to develop FundKeeper, an alternative for mutual fund processing. FundKeeper is a brokerage-like solution that can provide a broker-dealer the compliance benefits of brokerage, without the traditional brokerage costs and complexity. Simultaneously, FundKeeper provides firms with the simplicity of omnibus accounting.

FundKeeper seeks to provide broker-dealers and other intermediaries with a more efficient way to process mutual funds, enabling the broker-dealer/mutual fund family relationship to continue evolving in a mutually beneficial way. FundKeeper can eliminate barriers broker-dealers face selling mutual funds in a direct held model by making them available to investors through the broker-dealer without potentially steep brokerage fees. This places the investor's interest at the forefront and opens distribution opportunities for the mutual fund and broker-dealer alike.

FundKeeper provides access to more than 16,000 funds with a largely 'all electronic' mutual fund experience allowing financial intermediary firms to enhance upfront compliance and eliminate the need for back-end consolidation of their clients' mutual fund holdings.
