Jetstream is a purpose-built accelerated file transfer solution created when a post-production company converting some of Hollywood's biggest movies to 3D decided to develop their own software because other products on the market could not meet their needs. A powerful solution designed around simplicity, the latest version of the Jetstream client application introduces several new features to make file transfers even easier, including:
Ad hoc single or multi-file packaging and transfers for increased flexibility
Dual file browser user interface for enhanced drag-and-drop capability
New context menus and keyboard shortcuts to speed the transfer setup process
Visualization enhancements for detailed yet easy-to-understand transfer status
Automation related to server connection and file browser location to minimize user involvement
A key element of the Jetstream solution is the ability to use as much or as little of an organization's available bandwidth based on user-configured parameters and without any artificial throttling by the software. Jetstream version 1.5 server application enhancements give users additional control over transfer rates. New APIs enable more detailed transfer statistics as well as sandboxing functionality.
This Jetstream version coincides with a new reseller relationship between Eight Solutions and CineSys-Oceana, a group of Media IT Specialists with locations in Houston, New York, Chicago, Dallas, Miami, Atlanta, Toronto, and Vancouver. CineSys-Oceana provides a range of technology solutions to digital content creators, from broadcast and post-production companies to advertising, government, education, houses of worship, sports, and interactive markets.
