"I look forward to growing and enhancing Thiel College's traditions of inclusion, openness, and understanding. Many first-generation college students get their introduction to higher education at Thiel," Jones said. "It's vital that our community works together to ensure everyone on campus—students, faculty, staff, visitors, alumni—feels safe, respected and connected to the community."

"Anthony brings an outstanding breadth and depth of knowledge and experience to our office after successfully serving at Eastern Kentucky University," said Mike McKinney '02, vice president of student life, dean of students and Title IX co-coordinator. Jones worked as the director of multicultural affairs at Marietta College and Eastern Kentucky University. He conducted programs to educate campus populations of minority groups, social issues and cultural competence. He is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc.

Jones received a B.A. from University of Mount Union. His graduate work includes a Master's degree in student personnel from Eastern Kentucky University.
