MADRID, Spain - July 4, 2018 - PRLog -- The Transplantation Society (TTS) honored professionals in the field of transplantation at its 27th International Congress held in Madrid, Spain from June 30 to July 5, 2018.
About the Recognition Awards: These awards recognize individuals who have made a major international impact in the field of transplantation. The awards are given out at each international congress of The Transplantation Society.
Award Recipients:
Dr. Megan Sykes was presented with the 2018 Medawar Prize, the highest award in the transplantation field.
Prof. Kathryn Wood was presented with the 2018 Medawar Prize, the highest award in the transplantation field.
Dr. Jay A. Fishman was presented with the award for Outstanding Achievement in Transplantation (Clinical).
Dr. Jerzy W. Kupiec-Weglinski was presented with the Outstanding Achievement in Transplantation (Basic Science) Award.
Dr. Rudolf García-Gallont was presented with the Outstanding Achievement in Transplantation (Developing Country) Award.
Prof. H.L. Trivedi was presented with the Mentorship or Education and Training in Transplantation Award.
Dr. Karen Dwyer was presented with the Woman Leader in Transplantation Award.
Dr. Yuki Nakagawa was presented with the Women in Transplantation Unsung Hero Award.
