CHICAGO - June 20, 2018 - PRLog -- The Chicago Sun-Times announced the launch of "Impact Chicago," a new initiative that will recognize the individuals and companies that are truly making a difference in Chicago. This multi-platform initiative focuses on impact and innovation — and how it is helping working people across our community. Impact Chicago will feature awards and honors covering a range of topics aimed at different areas of impact.
Impact Chicago: Jobs, the first focus of the initiative, launched June 11th with a call for nominations in the Sun-Times. This article included a video featuring Sun-Times CEO, Edwin Eisendrath; he stated, "Since no one covers Chicago like the Sun-Times, we're in a unique position to recognize the positive impact we see across the city."
Nominations are being accepted for the Impact Chicago Jobs Awards through midnight July 9th via this nomination form.
About Impact Chicago: Jobs
The program focuses on the businesses bringing jobs and opportunities to Chicago communities by moving to the city, expanding operations or through innovative job skills training programs and unique hiring practices.
As the hardest-working paper in Chicago, the Sun-Times is well suited to identify and recognize the people and groups working hard to make a difference.
Make a Nomination
The online nomination form is now live. The criteria are straightforward:
- The nominee must be creating or have recently created a significant number of new jobs or implemented an innovative training or hiring program in Chicago.
- The nominee may be headquartered in the city, suburbs or even out of state — but must have shown a strong commitment to Chicago by relocating or expanding operations within the city limits.
