During this meeting, Mr. Madhukar Sanneerappa explained to the ADC to the Governor of the state that 4 North-eastern states, which includes Meghalaya are contributing hugely to the overall Malaria deaths in the country. Of these four states, Meghalaya stands in the 2nd position, thereby making it necessary to take steps to safeguard people from Malaria. He further added that during the 2013-2017 period, the state has contributed nearly 5450 deaths caused by Malaria.
At this meeting, the CEO of NeoDocto also explained about the Malaria Eradication drive of NeoDocto and the techniques they follow for educating the people about the ill-effects of life-threatening Malaria and also the ways to prevent this deadly disease from taking precious lives of kids and carrying moms, who are among the greatly affected population. He stated that appropriate materials to educating people against Malaria will be provided by NeoDocto to safeguard the state from malarial deaths.
The ADC to the Governor accepted that the necessary action will be taken and after talking to the concerned authorities, he will get back to NeoDocto if further help is needed for Malaria Eradication and for educating people about this disease.
