Ukraine launches Electronic Visa System

Citizens of 46 eligible countries, including Australia, New Zealand, Kuwait and Mexico, can now obtain an electronic visa for Ukraine by completing an online application form.
KIEV, Ukraine - April 6, 2018 - PRLog -- Ukraine has officially launched their electronic visa system which allows citizens of eligible countries to easily obtain a travel authorization to enter the country. On April 4th, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin shared on Twitter, "The reforms are ongoing. We bring Ukraine even closer to the world. Today, we launch the Electronic Visa System. The citizens of 46 countries can now apply for a visa to Ukraine without leaving home."

According to the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine, this simplified process will make it easier for tourism and business travelers to obtain a visa for Ukraine while also contributing to migration control. Applicants for a Ukraine e-Visa can take a series of steps from the comfort of their home or office. To successfully apply for the e-Visa, the traveler can complete an online application form with their personal details and passport information.

To complete the application process for the e-Visa for Ukraine the applicant has to pay for the visa fee with a debit or credit card. Once approved, the traveler will receive their e-Visa on their email, which can be printed out to present at border control when entering Ukraine.

The processing of the electronic visa for Ukraine is of up to 9 working days. The approved Ukraine e-Visa is valid for a single entry of up to 30 days.

Citizens of 46 countries, including Australia and New Zealand, can obtain the electronic visa for Ukraine by accessing the online application form. The eligible countries for the e-Visa for Ukraine also encompass many Latin American nations such as Mexico, Bolivia, Costa Rica, and the Dominican Republic. Some Asian countries have also made the list, among them, Malaysia and Indonesia can obtain the e-Visa.

The Ukraine electronic visa system is a collaboration between the Ukraine Government, State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, Oschadbank JSC, and the Institute of Software Systems of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.

Those who wish to visit Ukraine should check the visa requirements set for their nationality. There are 33 jurisdictions that can obtain a visa on arrival, and five countries that are exempt from a visa or a travel authorization. Citizens of the 46 eligible countries can from now on apply online for their Ukraine e-Visa.

Ukraine is Europe's largest country, excluding Russia, and it is nation with warm people, rich traditions and diversity. The country used to attract more that 20 million foreign visitors per year, however, this number has significantly dropped in recent years.

Set between central and eastern Europe, Ukraine has beautiful mountain ranges and the Black Sea coastline. Even though the country has faced a few difficult years, it is safe to visit Ukraine. Last year, the country hosted the famous Eurovision Song Contest in Kiev. Furthermore, the capital city has incredible places of worship including the Saint-Sophia Cathedral, a Unesco World Heritage Site.

Travelers are advised to obtain their e-Visa for Ukraine before their trip. The electronic visa application form takes a few minutes to complete, but it takes up to 9 working days to process it. Applicants should make sure they provide accurate information when filling out the Ukraine e-Visa form.
