Dr. Jeffrey E. Rubenstein, D.M.D., MS, Professor & Director of the Maxillofacial Prosthetic Service, University of Washington School of Dentistry, has joined Noticed©, an invitation-only service for distinguished professionals. Dr. Rubenstein is a Professor in the Division of Prosthodontics and the Director of the Maxillofacial Prosthetic Service at the University of Washington School of Dentistry and Medical Center. He is a renowned researcher and pioneer in the development of implant-based rehabilitation efforts for patients with anatomical compromises resulting from oral/head/neck cancer management, congenital anomalies, and trauma.
As a thought leader in his field, Dr. Rubenstein has authored publications in the periodic and text literature, and has lectured locally, nationally, and internationally. He has mentored prosthodontic and pre-doctoral students’ research projects related to implant component interface fit, bite force assessments, and more recently, image transfer as an alternative to recording conventional impressions.
With his focus in the field of implant prosthodontics Dr. Rubenstein is challenged by the technological advances currently evolving. He is trying to inculcate these “new age” technologies to help streamline and make more efficient, accurate, and precise implant based clinical procedures. He notes:
