Grammar Chic, Inc. Shares Best Practices for Organic, Bot-Free Twitter Growth

Grammar Chic, Inc. has released a new statement to the press, describing the best ways to generate organic Twitter growth in 2018.

There’s more than one way to generate a strong Twitter following—and some are ultimately better than others. Recently, it was reported that many celebrities, as well as business people and individuals, have purchased fake followers from a “black market” of Twitter bots—and now they’re facing the consequences, with many of those followers vanishing overnight. In a new statement to the press, Grammar Chic, Inc. offers an alternative method to Twitter success: earning followers through compelling and consistent content.

“It may not be the most glamorous approach, yet it remains the most effective way to generate real Twitter engagement—without running the risk that all your followers will evaporate in an instant,” comments Amanda Clark, the Editor-in-Chief of Grammar Chic. “Earning followers through engaging content—forming relationships, not just scoring numbers—remains the best approach to social media marketing.”

This approach requires a steady and patient approach, as well as a commitment to craft. “It’s important to put thought into what you’re sharing—the type of content you tweet, the commentary you offer, and more,” notes Clark.

There are other ways to generate Twitter followers, too—like using images to make tweets more visually appealing. “Another important point is hashtags—using two or three in a tweet can make your content easier to discover,” Clark advises.

Consistency is important, too. “For small and medium-sized companies, it may not be realistic to tweet 30 times a day—but with programs like Hootsuite, you can program tweets in advance, and ensure that you have at least a couple per day,” Clark explains. “It’s like with any other relationship: you have to put time in if you want it to thrive.”

Still another important aspect of Twitter success is engaging in dialogue. “Ask questions, set up polls, and reply to your followers,” Clark counsels. “Ideally, 40-50 percent of your tweets should be responses to other people.”

For brands looking to build thought leadership and earn consumer trust, it’s important not to be too self-promotional. “By all means, tweet about your company’s sales and discounts, and share your company blog posts—but also make sure to tweet out relevant information from other sources,” Clark says.

Ultimately, focusing on content quality and relationship-building lays the foundation for steady Twitter success. “In time, you’ll start to see more and more engagement, and added followers,” Clark concludes. “Crucially, they’ll largely be real people—not bots.”
