EARC, a Local Nonprofit, and Caribbean Cargo DC Team Up On Hurricane Relief Fundraiser Powered By The Digital Marketing Expertise of Blue State Digital
LANHAM, Md. - Dec. 18, 2017 - PRLog -- Months after Hurricane Irma and Hurricane Maria, Caribbean islands who received widespread setbacks are busy with post-hurricane reconstruction projects.

It has become the proud duty of members of the Caribbean diaspora to step up to the plate and provide support in the form of building supplies, food, and medical supplies. Donna Trim-Stewart, Director of Office Management at Blue State Digital and founder at local nonprofit -- Empowerment Awakening Resource Centre (EARC) -- joins Caribbean Cargo DC's (CCDC) hurricane relief fundraiser to provide support for hurricane victims and families who are shipping reconstruction supplies from the diaspora. "In order for us to get by in life we all need each other", says Trim-Stewart. She also reveals, "Caribbean Cargo DC has been very supportive of my nonprofit in Tobago -- Empowerment Awakening Resource Centre (EARC)." She is referring to the ongoing shipping discount CCDC offers to local churches, charities, and nonprofits who ship donated items to the Caribbean.

EARC uses a community-based approach to enhance the growth and development of children and families by focusing on culturally relevant interactions and experiences. Trim-Stewart's passion for supporting those in need through her local nonprofit makes her the ideal partner for CCDC's hurricane relief fundraiser.

She shares that her motivation in supporting CCDC's hurricane relief fundraiser was fueled by "the idea and the opportunity to help hurricane victims in the Caribbean". Trim-Stewart further states, "I thought it would be a great opportunity for EARC to partner with them and help to raise funds so that we could all come together to serve those who are in need right now."

Trim-Stewart is also the Director of Office Management at Blue State Digital --- a creative tech agency specializing in offering digital marketing services to assist brands seeking to engage with their target market. The agency launched during former President Obama's campaign trail and pioneered the use of digital marketing to open the democratic process. Their support of Trim-Stewart's nonprofit is a timely and helpful benefit for the hurricane relief fundraiser.

Through CCDC's fundraising partnership with EARC, funds totaling $800 were raised to alleviate the warehousing and logistics expense being shouldered by families in the diaspora who are desperate to collect and ship reconstruction tools and supplies to their loved ones in the Caribbean.
