WorldFlix has announced Paranotek's launch of Swanlock for Android, which allows users to set time-outs for a child's smartphone with customizable timers. Time-outs can be accompanied by customized photo messages, explaining why the time-out is necessary.
Swanlock launches just in time with device addiction on the rise. With all the fun, engaging and social activities on the Internet these days, children are at high risk of falling victim to smartphone addiction. Swanlock is easy to use and it’s developed with privacy and cybersecurity at heart. After installing Swanlock on any Android smartphone, one is asked whether the device is a parent device or a child device. Parent devices can set time-outs for child devices, locking the device and leaving only the lock screen visible, with a customized message sent from the parent device. Locked child devices can always contact the general emergency number or multiple emergency contacts you have set up for the device.
After a parent has set up the parent device, they can install Swanlock on the child's Android phone and set it as a child device. Then one would click "Add new child device" from the parent device and set up a name and emergency contacts, which the child can contact even if the device is locked, and PIN-code that unlocks the device for the child device and finally scan the QR code from the child's smartphone. And it's all done!
By configuring a parent device, one can set up different timers for different children's devices and customize them by weekdays and the time of the day. For example, a parent can set a time-out for when it's time to do homework, or set up the times on the timer and set which child devices will be locked when the timer launches. Parents can manually lock the child devices from the device list when relatives come to visit and it's definitely time to put those smartphones down. Parents or guardians can accompany the time-out with a customized photo message to enhance the message further.
Unlocking child devices is just as easy and parents or guardians won't have to worry about their children falling in danger without their smartphone since they can always contact the emergency number or one of the multiple emergency contacts that can be set up for them.
