La Wanda Marrero's Book on Self-Reflection Entitled “My Love Was Blind,” Displayed at 2022 ALA Annual Convention and Exhibition

By: WebWire

ReadersMagnet displayed La Wanda Marrero's memoir, “My Love Was Blind: Food for Thought,” at the 2022 ALA Annual Convention and Exhibition held last June 24-27, 2022, at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, Washington D.C.

This book evolved as she committed herself to her co-authored book “Blinded Love.” She didn't realize that she had poured herself into the story, and her thoughts flowed unconsciously to the paper, reaching over 80,000 words of her past loves and the root that lay beneath her imagination.

Marrero held God at the forefront of her writing process. She said: “God revealed to me the inner truth and the debts of his salvation for me.” She mentioned being unknowingly guilty and ignorant to understand how she contributed, but her eyes were opened to “My Love Was Blind” when God shone her light on her.

She took inventory of all her past loves and herself through the eyes of maturity and realized that there was so much work to do on herself. She had to learn self-love and how to give herself love and appreciation. She said that she figured out that no one can make her whole by faith and that by the power of the Lord and Savior, she was whole, the pieces just had to come together.
