Australian Vanadium Ltd (ASX:AVL) CEO Graham Arvidson chats with Proactive’s Elisha Newell after the company signed the dotted line on a A$49 million federal grant to help found an Australian vanadium battery industry. AVL will receive the first payment (clocking in just shy of A$10 million) later this month, with three more payments expected through to August 2025. Arvidson says the Commonwealth project is a turning point in the company’s vision to create an Australian industry with domestic downstream processing using its world-class asset.
