LAS VEGAS - January 8, 2026 - The South Korea Ministry of SMEs and Startups (MSS) and the Korea Institute of Startup and Entrepreneurship Development (KISED) officially inaugurated the ‘K-STARTUP Pavilion’ today at Eureka Park, the startup hub of CES 2026. Operating under the slogan, “Startups from Ideas into Reality through Innovation,” the pavilion showcases 81 innovative startups, supported by 19 startup organizations, to the global market.

The opening ceremony, held at 11:00 AM on the pavilion’s dedicated stage, featured a distinguished assembly of dignitaries. Yong-seok Roh, Deputy Minister of MSS, and Jong-pil Yoo, President of KISED, led the event, offering encouragement to participating entrepreneurs as they embark on global expansion.

In demonstration of South Korea’s growing presence in the global tech ecosystem, Shelley Berkley, Mayor of Las Vegas, personally visited the pavilion to stand alongside Korean government officials. This high-profile visit underscores South Korea’s pivotal status in the global technology market and the exceptional collaborative strength of MSS and KISED.

“At the heart of CES, Eureka Park, Korean startups continue to amaze the world every year with incredible innovation,” said Deputy Minister Yong-seok Roh in his opening address. Following the speeches, Mayor Berkley presented a Special Proclamation to KISED President Jong-pil Yoo, recognizing the institute's contribution to global technological exchange. This marks the second consecutive year of official recognition from Nevada’s leadership, following the honor from the Lieutenant Governor in 2025.

The ceremony also featured a presentation on KISED’s global operations, followed by a passionate address from City5, a winner of the prestigious CES Best of Innovation Award, regarding their vision for global expansion. The event concluded with a group photo session featuring all dignitaries and entrepreneurs, symbolizing a shared commitment to Korean innovation under the theme of turning ideas into reality.

A total of 11 CES Innovation Award-winners, including the three ‘Best of Innovation’ awardees featured below, are recognized for excellence in fields such as AI, Human Security, Mobility, Robotics, and Sustainable Energy, including Geeks Loft for its hands-free portable media hub headphones for 3D recording and viewing (Headphones & Personal Audio category), DeepFusion AI for its radar-only autonomous driving perception solution (AI category), and City5 for its wearable AI interface supporting real-time LMM (Large Multimodal Model) inference (AI category).
