Sentinel Water Solutions (Sentinel), a leading provider of PFAS treatment systems, granular active carbon (GAC) reactivation, and ion exchange (IX) solutions, has deployed a fully integrated Mobicon GAC system to Perkasie Regional Authority. Delivered pre-loaded to expedite startup and reduce onsite disruption, the temporary rental system reflects a close partnership between Sentinel and the Authority to accelerate safe water delivery. By installing this temporary system in parallel with facility construction, Perkasie Regional Authority is ensuring regulatory compliance and protecting public health months ahead of schedule.

Portable, Pre-Loaded 10,000-lb Mobicon Vessels
The installation features four DESOTEC Mobicon vessels pre-loaded with approximately 10,000 lbs of NSF-certified GAC each, designed to treat the full well flow of 530 gpm. By mobilizing the units pre-filled, Sentinel eliminated the need for onsite GAC loading & unloading, reducing truck traffic, construction equipment, and other site disruptions.
To ensure reliable distribution performance, Sentinel also provided a new PRV and automated booster pump skid designed to maintain adequate system pressures and integrate seamlessly with Perkasie’s existing infrastructure.
“Perkasie’s decision to move forward with a temporary system concurrent with construction of their permanent facility demonstrates their commitment to providing high quality service,” said Andrew Strassner, President of Sentinel Water Solutions. “Sentinel applauds their proactive approach to delivering safe water to customers.”
As part of the project, DESOTEC provided the Mobicon units and will also supply custom winterization features and future GAC reactivation services — building on Sentinel’s previously announced partnership to deliver NSF-certified reactivation and stock management solutions.
Sentinel (www.sentinel-h2o.com) provides custom pilot test and treatment systems available for rent or purchase, and is focused on removing PFAS and other emerging contaminants from drinking water. Sentinel specializes in providing turnkey solutions including pilot testing, vessel swaps, rentals, and reactivation. This project reflects Sentinel’s commitment to delivering right-sized, rapidly deployable solutions for small and mid-sized utilities facing new regulatory challenges.
